The mandam has 16 pillars and is build with black granite. In the front adjust to the main temple stands the Shanmukha vilasam mandapam. The pillars of this mandam touches the ceiling through the elaborately carved and majestic pillars.

The main entrance leads to sivili mandapam. This is long corridor which runs tot he secong prahara where we can see row of columns of yalis. On the northern prahara there is a vishnu shrine which is hollowed in the rock itself.

The main god of Arulmigu Subramaniaswamy Temple is Lord Muruga. The lord can be seen in a standing position. In a single line one can see four lithic inscriptions which has been collected at the time of pandya.

A little away from the main shrine there is a cave called valli cave. There are two images in the cave one is for valli and the other is for Dattatreya. Nazhik Kinaru is a remarkable spring that is located at the rolling high sand dune on the beach. The history says that after Lord Senthilandavar planted his lance (the vel) on the ground the spring has sprung. The spring has fresh crystal water and it is know as Nazhik Kinaru. Having a bath in the sea and in this well is considered to be more spiritual.
